Making a Difference!

Designed by Sharon M. Reinhart January 2020
I am sure you have all come across those people in your life that truly make a difference, well I have a few of those peeps as well and wanted to express that I do notice and appreciate what they do! This card is a side fold A2 card created with red cardstock, with a white cardstock circle panel that was cut using a Studio Katia die template. I adhered the circle panel to the card front using foam mounting tape to give a bit of dimension. Next I punched several white hearts and one gold heart using a Fiskars punch. I wanted a little bit of texture on the hearts but just a subtle touch so I embossed all the hearts with a Stampin Up embossing folder that gives the look of linen. Next the white hearts were adhered into each circle except the bottom right using Tombow liquid glue or Scor-tape. The gold heart has been adhered with foam mounting tape. The sentiment from Impression Obsession was stamped with black ink and die cut using a circle die. For a little definition I sponged black ink on the circle edge. Two smaller circles were die-cut from red cardstock and adhered at the top and bottom of the sentiment circle. The finishing touch was adding the metallic gold gems, smaller ones were adhered to the white hearts and four larger ones to the corners of the card.
This card could easily be transformed into a Valentine, Wedding, Anniversary or Birthday card just by switching up the sentiment! I hope you are inspired to create! Stay tuned for mini Valentine inspiration!
Creatively Yours,
Sharon

Valentine Inspiration!

Stopping by with some Valentine inspiration! This wreath was die-cut from some packaging material saved when my cabinets were shipped to me, thrilled with how easily it die cut and the finished results. I believe this die is an Elizabeth Crafts Design, not totally positive, but unfortunately I do not see it on their site and I do not have the original packaging. I know there are many die templates on the market that would work beautifully! For those of you that do not have a wreath die, try building your own by building it with a variety of leaf shapes. Draw a circle with pencil on your card front and just start adding die-cut or punched leaves. The hearts have been cut from gold and red card stocks and are a Penny Black die set. The word love has also been die-cut from gold card-stock. Use a word die for this or individual die-cut letters or even painted wood or chipboard letters would work great! A little die-cut or ribbon bow is a nice finishing accent! Hope you are inspired to create!
